Description

Musical and vocal group Gregorian will hold a concert at Belgrade’s Hala Sportova on 8th February on their farewell tour.

This German-English band, that is very popular in Serbia, will perform on the final leg of their Master of Chants – Final Chapter Tour. They will perform modern takes on medieval Gregorian chants, as well as their own interpretations of music by Peter Gabriel, Lenny Kravitz, Coldplay, Queen, The Doors…

So far, over 1.3 million people have seen their show and the band sold over 20 million albums worldwide. The founder of Gregorian, Frank Peterson, who is also a former member of Enigma, has extensive experience as a producer for the most popular musicians in the world, and he has been performing his unique fusion of pop and chorus music since 1999.

“Many years ago, I toured monasteries in Spain. I was listening to music on my Walkman when I entered a monastery and was taken by this unusual fusion of sounds – a monk choir was singing Gregorian chants in the hall next door”, Peterson talks about how he came up with an idea to form Gregorian.

Gregorian has eight male and one female vocal and is accompanied by the traditional rock band with drums. So far, they remade some of the biggest hits originally sung by Celine Dion, Dire Straits, Queen, Guns’n’Roses, Rolling Stones, U2, Depeche Mode, Coldplay, R.E.M, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Green Day,as well as the soundtracks of The Godfather and Titanic.
