Ian Gillan
Description

The rock legend Ian Gillan is coming to Belgrade for one unique concert with the songs of Deep Purple. He will play on one stage with the musicians from the Don Airey Band.

The talented musician was born in Hounslow, England. Gillan’s unique voice is instantly recognisable. In early days he was heavily influenced by the young Elvis Presley, as well as Little Richard, Buddy Holly and others of that dynamic era. During his formative years he absorbed the wide range of musical genres that were flooding Britain in The Sixties.

Gillan joined Deep Purple in 1969. At this point, the group entered its most popular period, and the rock musician was featured on a series of successful recordings – “Fireball”, “Machine Head”, and “Who Do We Think We Are”.
