Swan Lake on Ice
Swan Lake on Ice
Description

Based on Russian folk tales, the original ballet premiered in 1877, and is a classic fairytale. The princess Odette has been transformed into a swan by the evil Baron Von Rothbart and the spell can only be broken by the power of true love. Prince Siegfried, taking a break from his search for a wife to go hunting with his friends, sees Odette in the human form she takes at night and falls in love.

The Baron, however, has other plans, and tricks Siegfried into falling in love with his daughter, Odile, at the ball in the palace where the prince is to choose his wife. The conflict between good and evil thus forms the dramatic climax of the show.

While the grounded version is a classical beauty, the icy alternative is absolutely spectacular, with music by Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.  This dramatic new ice interpretation of one of the most popular ballets will have you on the very edge of your seat.
