That kind of energy and glamour marked one great period of our capital.

Then, Belgrade had its gloomy years of empty store shelves, empty streets…people were leaving it, some new people were coming into it…and we were gently caring about its soul and charm, waiting for the right time to promote it once again and to proudly say where we come from…

The year 2002, when everything seemed at our grasp and yet so far away, was the year when Byblos, the house of Lebanese food was being created in an aging villa in Vračar – such a restaurant was one of the city symbols we all wished for. It was named after one of the oldest towns in the world located north of Beirut, ‘Paris of Middle East’.

We are now at 6, Nebojšina street, tucked between the treetops of Karadjordje Park. We have eighty chairs and a few less tables at your disposal, the most delicious courses that will make you remember and come again, the best wines, the most aromatic tobacco and Arabic coffee, and, an inevitable wide Belgrade smile and spirit we managed to save…
