Kopaonik
The largest ski centre in Serbia and one of the largest centres in the Balkans is located in Central Serbia, 230 kilometres south of Belgrade.
The fastest way to reach Belgrade is by the Niš highway to the Kruševac exit, via Brus and Brzeće. Another road leads by the Ibar main road, via Kraljevo and Jošanička Banja. The Kopaonik national park stretches over 11 thousand hectares and is visited by tourists throughout the year, irrespective of the season.
Most tourists visit Kopaonik during winter, when skiers from all parts of Europe come. Numerous ski runs, modern ski lifts and cable cars, hotels and apartments await the tourists. Accommodation is available in private villas or houses, and hotels are located in various locations. The most popular inhabited part of Kopaonik are Sunčani vrhovi, and the Grand, Putnik and other hotels provide ideal vacation conditions.
The hotels are located next to ski slopes, and visitors may enjoy indoor pools and saunas, restaurants and coffee houses, inns and night clubs that stand at their disposal.
