Museum of Serbian History
The exhibit was created and moved to the Residence of Prince Miloš Obrenović in Topčider on the occasion of the 150 year anniversary of the beginning of the First Serbian Uprising, in 1954.
Thus the Museum of the First Serbian Uprising was formed, its concept resting on the presentation of the First (1804-1813) and Second Serbian Uprising (1815), as events of particular historical significance to the Serbian people.
Chronologically, the theme of the museum is divided into several sections: the middle ages, the period of foreign governance, the period between 1804 and 1918, the period of the People’s Liberation War 1941-1945 and the post-war development of Serbia.
