The Monument to the Liberators of Belgrade 1806 - Karađorđe’s Park

Karađorđe’s Park is the authentic historical location of the camp of the insurgent army and the military cemetery of the liberators of Belgrade from the First Serbian Uprising under Karađorđe in 1806. The monument erected in the cemetery by his son Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević in 1848 is the first one to be erected in the honor of a historical event and the first public monument.
