Baskerfest

International troop of street artists from around the world is making a stop in Belgrade from 2^nd to 5^th of August, to demonstrate their exciting skills on Baskerfest, the Festival of Street Entertainers.

During the Festival, brave acrobats, skilled jugglers and circus artists, fire breathers, and many other street performers will give their best to turn passers-by into visitors of a joyful manifestation, on five locations across the City center.

Basker is a street performer who entertains audience on public spaces, mostly streets and squares, for tips. Interesting fact is that the history of street performing dates back to antique times and that some of the most famous artists of today had started their careers as baskers.  

Ceremonial opening of this year’s Baskerfest is scheduled for the 2nd of August, at 8PM, on the Republic Square in Belgrade.
