Le man avec les lunettes / Italy

This Italian 5 piece has been around since 2005 and has released several albums and mini albums throughout the years. Le Man Avec Les Lunettes started out life as a recording project, using multi-tracking to build ‘ultra-melodic’ pop songs. The band has toured around Italy and Europe from the very beginning. The band’s self-produced 2008 album “Plaskaplaskabombelibom”, is a collection of melodic, warm songs. Another round of tour dates kept the “lunettes” busy until mid-2010, at which point they decided to take some months to write new material.

“Sparkles” will arrive in May 2011, recorded in the band’s studio ( a flat called “us random calculator”) among others songs that will be included in the next album. “Sparkles’” music is built on few instruments and simple arrangements, heavily influenced by the joy of spare times and the love for the “12th fret”. The songs recorded during the end of 2010 and beginning of 2011 are in the same “family”, a “family” with its root in such tracks as “Crawling down the stairs” (recorded for Amnesty International & Buffetlibre): easy texture, shimmering pop melody and “modern” sound with cheap vintage equipment.
