Ivo Andrić – Andrićev venac

The monument to the diplomat and the greatest Serbian and Yugoslav writer of the 20th century, the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, was erected on the plateau bearing his name and next to the building he lived in. It is the work of sculptor Milenko Mandić. The monument was erected in 1992 by the Ivo Andrić Foundation, the City of Belgrade and the Republic of Serbia to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of our Nobel Prize winner, as a sign of respect and the lasting memory of our longtime fellow citizen.
